Basic Facts

This week we leraned about basic facts.

First I picked what time table to do out of the 4,6,7, and 8 times table. 8 time table is big or small groups of somthing and then we show it with the uni link cubes.

Next we needed to write the fact family. The fact family for this fact faimly is 6×4=24, 4×6=24, 24÷4=6, and 6÷24=4 that is an fact family.

Lastly we took photos of the uni cubes in groups of 4,6,7, 8.

I enjoyed this task because putting them into groups was my favrouit part. I think I did well on helping Ayvah put the uni cubes into groups. I think I need to improve on writing the times table.

Identifying Fraction

This week we learnt about Identifying fractions. Fraction is an object that is split into two equal pieces.

First we got some paper and made them into fractions. The fraction we were doing were one half, one thirds, One fifth, two thirds, and two fifths.

Thirds is a fraction that has three pieces in total, but only has two.

Fifths is a fraction thast has five pieces in total, but only has four.

Next we took photos of our fractions that we made and typed what fraction it was.

I enjoyed this task because my favourite part was folding it and cutting the paper. I need to improve on getting fast at finishing my fractions. I think I did well on folding the paper into the fractions.

Place Valuve House

L.l Counting into groups of tens.

I learned about place value houses.

First we made a place value house on the white board.

Next we chose some numbers and made a number out of them.

Then we used the place value house to show the numbers from 1 to 30.

Last we used the popsicle stick to show the numbers from 1 to 30. I enjoyed doing place value because I learnt about combining numbers.

I need to improve on counting and combining numbers together.
