Responsible

This week we have been learning about taking care of yourself and your netbook.

First we needed to talk about the school responsible and responsible use. Then we created a DLO explaining the responsibility. 

Next  we needed to talk about how to keep our netbook away from things like food and soda because soda can damage your netbook.  Make sure to always wash your hands before touching your netbook because if you don’t wash your hands after you eat the touch pad could get greasy and it might not be able to work.

Lastly we got into pairs and created a DLO as a pair to be faster to get done.

I enjoyed learning more about cybersmart because it explains what you need to do to take care of your netbook. I did well at putting the information in the DLO. I need to improve on focusing more before decorating the DLO.

 

Digital Anywords

Today I played a game called digital anywords.

First I learnt what anywords were. Anyword is where you found someone to be your partner to play with you. 

Next I started to add the words to make Daeyna lost. I won 9 to 5.

I enjoyed playing with Daeyna because it was very interesting. I needed to write a word in the middle to make Daeyna loose. I enjoyed playing this game because I enjoyed making Daeyna loose. I did well on guessing the words. I need to improve on thinking about fancy words more. 

Be Positive

What is the meaning of positive? The meaning of positive is to never give up and what you believe. For example: If you fail a test or an exam go forward and keep trying so you never fail again.

If you fell off a bike, that doesn’t mean you can’t ride a bike, keep trying everyday and ride a bike. Then you get better at riding a bike.

Be Positive to your learning, and keep trying new things and never give up.

Infering

This week I did an activity about inferring.

First I read a book called The Kakangora. I needed to write on a DLO what I can see and So I can infer.

Next I needed to make a copy on a DLO which is What I can see and So I can infer. For Example: I saw the tribe stealing our ngail nuts during night time. So I can infer that he was doing something with our ngail nuts.

Lastly we did this task called key into inference 2. I needed to write the answers done for the questions. For Example: The bell rang and the kids went back inside. At school.

 

Skit

This week I did a skit with my group. 

First we got a paper and started reading the book so we could brainstorm what we’re gonna do for the skit and who’s gonna be who.

Next my group skit was about the kakangora. The kangaroo is about an island called Solomon and a tribe stealing the village’s nagil nuts for their queen to have breakfast. So they came up with a plan were one person hides under the ngail nuts until they can see the tribe. Then the king and one person hides behind the bush just in case the tribe is too strong.

Lastly we practised our skit so we don’t need to worry that much about any mistake.

I enjoyed this task because we might get to film our skit. I did well on writing the script for my group. I need to improve on thinking more about brainstorming with my group.

HPE- T ball

Today I practised T-Ball skills.

The skills we learned were running and hitting. For Example: Running is where you need to run to the base with the cones. For Example for hitting: Hitting is where you have a ball on something then you use a bat to bat the ball off.

First we needed to practise batting the ball in our 2 teams.

Next we needed to run from base to base. 

Lastly we needed to hit the ball and run to the next base while the other team needed to put the ball back to the tee. 

I enjoyed playing T-ball because I played it last year. I did well on hitting the ball off the Tee. I need to improve on running faster from base to base.

 

Netball Skills

Today I revised Netball skills. The skills we revised were: Chest passing, and how to throw and catch the ball.

To throw the ball is that you need to put the ball near your chest and throw it forward. When you catch the ball you need to make a W. We did a triangle passing to catch and throw.

First before we played netball we did a relay race. A relay race is where  two teams, one team is in a circle throwing the ball while the other team is outside of the line. The team in the circle were passing the ball to see which team has the biggest number. After running around they switch with the other team.

Next we did a relay race but a different relay race. This relay race was called over and under.  To play over and under you need to get into two teams to make a long line. Then the person in the front of the line needs to pass the ball over their head. Then the person behind them needs to pass the ball under their legs. 

Then we played another relay race but this relay race did a left and right version. We basically needed two lines to pass the ball left and right then we needed to turn around to pass the ball to the next person. 

I enjoyed this task because I like Netball. I did well on passing the ball to people. I need to improve on spreading out more.

Evaluation

This week me and my reading group did a reading activity. The activity was evaluation.

First for evaluation we read this thing about testing animals. Evaluation is where you read something and there is a paper or a DLO where it says Yes, No, and My Opinion.

Then me and my group went on the mat to talk if we should test on animals or not test on animals. Most of my group said no because it’s bad for their skin and health, the product might burn their skin, or the product might give the animal diseases.

Lastly we made a copy of the evaluation doc meant and wrote 4 questions why we should text and why we should not and our opinion.

I enjoyed this activity because I like doing reading activity. I did well on telling people my opinions and why. I need to improve more on why we should test on animals.

NetBall

Today we played netball and dodgeball. Before we played, the netball coach taught us the rules on how to play netball which were No running with the ball, No bouncing the ball. Stay 1 miter away from the person that has the ball.

The skills we learned for netball were passing. For Example for passing you need people in a line or people to go in front of you to throw the ball to them. 

First coach spreated the girls and boys into 1 whole group and played netball. While we were playing netball there will be 2 people in the yellow circle to defend the ball from getting into the hoop and 2 people from the line needed to try and get the ball into the hoop by passing the ball.

Then we played a game where non bibs and bibs needed to grab the ball from the hula hoop and throw it to the people in your team to get it to the other hoop across. The non bibs lost to the netball game and the game where you get the ball to the other hula hoop. But they won the dodgeball game.

Lastly we went into the hall to play Jedi dodge. We needed to put the balls on the cones and when the coach plows the whistle that’s when we grab the balls and try to get the jedi out to get the whole team out. After we played, the coach said the non bibs won.

I enjoyed this activity because I like to play sports and netball is one of my favourite sports. I did well on defending the ball from trying to get in the hoop. I need to improve on blocking the Jedi less so I don’t get out.

How To Write A Proper Blog Post

Today we made a DLO showing how to write a proper blog post.

First you will need a Title for your blog post to tell people what you’re talking about.

Then you’re gonna need a Label to show what subject it’s about.

Next you need to write your Blog Post so people can read what it’s about.

Lastly you will need to make a DLO to explain the work you did.
